Preparing to go Live

Posted on October 9, 2019 at 2:10 AM Comments comments (0)

As we are preparing to go live with CollaborApp TM, we have also added a Vice President of Business Development who will focus her efforts on driving useage and growth for CollaborApp TM as we evolve to digital transformation for the disabilities community.  Please watch the website as more will follow with announcements and press releases bringing media coverage to this very important and needed resource.

Focusing on Digitization

Posted on March 5, 2019 at 11:05 PM Comments comments (1)

I am focusing ISS toward collaboration and digitization so Adam and his community can reap the benefits offered by digital transformation.  Institutions can better serve clients and manage their operations through a digital enlvironment and individuals with disabilities benefit from a digital environment that treatment teams can utilize to implement their modalities.  The world is changing and I want to continue to build my skill set for institutional operational efficiency while bringing that knowledge to areas who have not yet benefited yet. For example, the disabilities community and the institutions who serve them.

Through my career in Financial Services, which has evolved to include FinTech,  I will generate intellectual resources that will be utilized for CollaborApp.  In other words, the FinTech community is contributing to my knowledge base and they are part of my process of bringing forward tools and technologies that can improve outcomes in any way possible for the disabilities community.

Rewiring for the New Year and Beyond

Posted on January 28, 2019 at 2:20 PM Comments comments (0)

I am in process of rewiring myself after 30 (+) years in financial services. My last 20 years have been spent working with large institutional clients and I am using my knowledge to expand my expertise to small not for profits and families impacted by disabilities, a sector of the population small not for profits are of special value to.

I am creating an app, CollaborApp, to help the disabilities community move an all paper process to a real time integrative tool for the treatment team to utilize in managing their cases and/or care for loved ones. I am also starting an advisory practice helping small institutional investors allocate assets in a cost effective evidence based solution. As a result, moving forward, Integrative Solution Services LLC is focused on two things.

While I continue my career, I am falso ocusing on families with special needs for collaboration (the app). This effort can also lead to solutions for  families using technology and personal delivery tools while benefiting their funding sources and service providers. The lifestyle solutions and resources page on the website will remain operational, as I have received feedback that these solutions are valuable to the community and families impacted by disabilities.

I am revamping my website (www.integrativesolutionservices) and developing CollaborApp for families with special needs and the institutions that serve them. As a result, I am gathering resources that will help my small business serve underserved markets.

Our Holiday Joy: 2018 Miracles for Adam

Posted on November 26, 2018 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (1)

After about 2 years of Adam's having gone "natural", he has been accepted into the University High School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program.  Before this time, his behaviors were too severe and he had to be in a more restiricted program.  He is living proof of hope for his community.  After stabilizing the systems of his body, his program is simplified to just the following (there are links to Purium, Doterra, and Regenerus on my Resources page):

Regenerus:  Balance Lipposomal Hemp (CBD) with Aloe and Tumeric.  Three times a day:  am, after school, at night.

Doterra:  Lifelong Vitality Pack with DDR Prime and Mito2Max (multivitamins with oils such as frankensense).  Plus Breathe and Serenity and Digest Zen tabs nightly for sleep.

Purium:  Core 4 Nutriion with IONIC Elements and Viru Sure (we mix 1 Chorella powder to 1 power shake container).  Doterra lemon oil is nice in the power shake per serving.  We give him the Cherry drink at night before bed with Magnesium for sleep and to reduce twitching.

Night time for sleep (products above):  We give him 3 scoops of Magnesium powder in a little watter before dinner and Apothe Cherry in Coconut Milk with dinner.  Before his bath, we give him 2 Serenity pills and a Digest Zen tab and the CBD.  Then the Breathe or Serenity oil in the diffuser (or any other oil desired).

Doterra for alergies:  Breathe oil on the chest, bottom of feet and/or diffuser, Peppermint Beadlets as needed (I keep them in my purse), TriEase as needed.

For colds/flu symptoms:  At the first sign, three times a day, we give Adam 4 drops of Doterra Oregano and 4 drops of Doterra Melaluca in a veggie capsule to swallow (be sure the oil is wiped off the outside, as it is "hot' to the throat). We give it to him up to 5 days, or  less if symptoms are gone.  He has not had a full on flu or antibiotics to get rid of residual  congestion that used to cause bronchitus for 2 years since "trying" this.  The same holds true for the rest of the family and oir caregivers.  We also give him adult Tylenol as needed if there a sign of a fever (which is very rare) and it goes away overnight if taken with the Oregano and Melaluca tabs.  The Purium Viru Sure also has oregano  in it for daily antiviral support.

We are very pleased with Adam's gains and resulting school placement so he can be with his peers and learn from them.  The "reversion to the mean" is upward for him now and we thank God for the people and resources he has provided and I thankfully share them with you here.

We will  keep you posted of future progress and here is to a safe and healthy Christmas to all.

Blessings and Grace,

Kerrie

Season 8 Fish for Life Event

Posted on July 17, 2017 at 3:30 PM Comments comments (2)

We went yesterday to an event that was an example of God at work.  Fish for Life is "spreading God's Love one boat at a time!".  We left out of Dana Point Harbor at 9:00 on the Dana Pride and came back at 3:00.  Staff and the voulinteers were gracious and they gracefully enabled a group of disabled persons to fish all day and ride on the boat for a blessed day in the sun breathing ocean air.  The terapeutic benefits of the proprioceptive input and multisensory experience were enjoyed by all.  The kids honestly had a beautiful time.

It was an honor to participate.  For more information, visit  their facebook page or go to www.fishforlife.org.

Adam's Updated Treatment Plan - We Added Essential Oils

Posted on April 20, 2016 at 2:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Adam is doing so great and people always ask me what we are doing so I thought I would put it here. We have ABA at home and parent resources using a specific type of ABA called Pivital Response Treatment (PRT) for behavior support. They also have very good parent training and on line resources through a center in Santa Barbara, The Koegel Center (on the resources page). The remote learning/implementation plan is ideal for people in areas that are not attracting good ABA providers. The parent involvement part is made easy using PRT (and fun)!

As for School, Adam is in a school with a BCBA supported 1:1 ASL fluent shadow. ASL can be used as a bridge to spoken language for Autistic kids. Given he is deaf, Adam is responsive to that. He has great receptive language with his cochlear implants on and he uses ASL and verbal utterances to communicate. Given his dual diagnosis, this is a miracle that he can communicate (sometimes with vocalization). The ASL was key to his progress toward spoken language. ASL is the version of sign language that works with Autism using verbal behavior protocol (with or without perfect hearing). At school, he also has PT, OT, APE, and speech (all with ASL trained instructors and his ASL fluent interpreter).

As for supplements, we transitioned to Purium superfoods because of the pure and organic aspect and because it is farm to family (lowering cost). We use Doterra for essential oils because they are 100% therapeutic grade (can be used internally and externally) and can replace much of what was in our medicine cabinet. A link to each is on the bottom of the resources page.

Here is what we are doing: CF/GF Superfoods and Essential Oils for Adam (these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease):

1. Purium Apothe Cherry:

Contains natural (non synthetic) melatonin and is highly concentrated. Adam sleeps 9 hours a night on this (and so do I) :). This is good in water or in Coconut milk. We put an ounce in his Coconut milk with dinner. Apple cider with cinnamon (hot or cold) is great with it also.

2. Purium Fulvic Zellulolite: alone or with the Doterra Cilantro if desired (see below)

Can help with detox during the day; we put 3 drops in his morning beverage (see below). This is also been known to bind to heavy metals to pull them out.  We do this instead of chelation for Adam.

3. Purium Immunomax: Extra support when Adam gets sick or has a cold coming on

The website says it can help with gut issues and general immune support that is very common in Autism. This has Colostrum in it and all 7 ingredients for immune support. He was sick and he was better without his usual residual congestion that often lead to antibiotics to treat it in the past.

4. Purium BioFruit drink for kids (superfood containing high concentration amounts of the earth's friut).

One scoop in water with his supplements in the morning and afternoon for energy and nutritional support. Great tasting for kids and it is listed as gluten free and casein free (GF/CF) on the Purium website (see the resources page link Farm to Family Nutritional Support).

5. Purium Cracked Cell Chlorella and Spirulina:

Adam will take 5 tiny little pills of Chlorella mornings and 5 round pills of Spirulina when he gets home from school. We just give them Adam to swallow with his drink. This is GF/CF and is reported to help support cellular growth, repair, and replication on the Purium website.

6. Doterra TerraZyme with DigestZen

This is can help digestion due to gut issues and a need for food digesion support. We give Adam Enzymes with all three meals daily for possible bloating, gas, or stomach acid.

7. Purium Rice Bran Solubles:

One scoop in almond or coconut milk 2 times a day. This is especially good for kids with limited interest in a variety of foods. Go to the Purium website to learn the multiple benefits of this at the Farm to Family link at the bottom of our resources page ( or at www.mypurium.com/integrativesol/).

8. Purium ViruSure - Daily Immune Support

One capsule 2 times a day.  Adam tested positive for the MMR virus, in response to the MMR vaccine that remains in the body along with other viruses common with Autism. This is an algae combination known to be effective for antiviral and anti-inflammatory support.

9. Purium 40X Aloe:

One teaspoon with his cherry and coconut milk drink with dinner to help support sleep, digestion and healing the gut.

10. Bone Broth (easy to make or buy at a natural foods market): About 1/3 cup in the morning

Due to a high dose of Collagen, this has been known to assist in healing the gut and provide digestive system support. I did a Google search on this to discover the multiple benefits that are reported for adults and kids.

11. Doterra Lifelong Vitality Pack Supplements (GF/CF - comes in a 3 pack and you can add MitoMax, as desired):

Omega Complex - Omega Fatty Acids / Brain Food

MicroPLEX - Food Nutrient / Absorbable Dietary Support

Alpha CRS+ - Cellular Vitality Complex / Antioxidant and DNA protection)

Mito2 Max - Energy & Stamina

13. One tablespoon olive oil and coconut oil a day (see Power Up Your Brain by David Perlumutter, M.D., F.A.C.N. and Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D.).

We cook Adam's breakfast in the coconut oil (it can take heat) and drizzle the olive oil over the cooked eggs and potatoes.

14.  2 Cups Epsom Salt and 1 Cup Baking Soda in bath daily with Essential Oils as needed (see Dr. Perlumutter's book noted above).

15.  Doterra Spring Clean Protocol:

Lemon Essential Oil naturally cleanses the body and aids in digestion.

TerraZyme digestive enzymes to aid in digestion of food and absorption of nutrients.

Zendocrine Complex botanical blend to support liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, and skin.

Zendocrine Softgels essential oils to support the body's natural ability to detoxify.

GX Assist  to help cleanse and support the digestive system.

PB Assist with 6 billion CFUs of 6 different strains of probiotics (GF/Dairy/Soy/Shellfish/Tree Nut/Peanut/Egg Fee). :)

DDR Prime to support cellular health and renewal.

16.  The Doterra link is on the resources page (essential oils and blends) describing the benefits of oils and how to use them.

We use:

Lavender and Melaluca help Adam's skin issues (we add Helichrysum and Frankincense for bad cuts and bites).

Frankincense may help neurology and other issues (The God Oil).

Chamomile and Sage may help with hormonal balance and relaxation (can get the Clary Calm blend - if want a roll on).

Breathe is a good blend that may help with congestion and allergies (we breathe it in from palms or diffuse in the air at night).

Adam likes Peppermint before school versus Breathe that may help respiratory support and alertness ( he breathes it in from my

palms and then I rub it on the top front of his shirt so he can breath it in during the day).

Lavender behind the neck before school for mood support.

In Tune blend - at home and school backpack for behaviors/emotional support.

Massage - we mix desired oil(s) with massage carrier oil (there is a Doterra Touch procedure also).

17. Essential oils and blends for daily hygiene and targeted solutions (natural alternatives we use):

On Guard - Toothpaste (non toxic!)

TriEase - Allergy Support

HD Clear - Acne and Blemishes

Terra Shield - Insect Repellant

Cillantro - Powerful Antioxidant/Heavy Metals

Slim & Sassy - Metabolic GI Support/Candida

DigestZen - Digestive Support / Neutralize Stomach Acid (tummy tamer - is in the Vitality Pack also)

On Guard - Immune Support

Oregano and Melaluca - Antiviral/Antibiotic Support (we use it when sick or feel a cold coming on)

Lemon in Water - Daily Detoxification, Lymphatic Cleansing Support

18.  Purium Amino Acids - Absorbable aminno acids for body and neurology support.

Multiple benefits have been reported from Amino Acid therapy.

These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
